2024 Summer Adventure: Gunma, Nagano, Niigata and Tokyo Shopping Tour Gallery

Tour Dates: June 12 – 22, 2024

We had some fantastic adventures on this tour! From river rafting and firefly watching to celebrating a birthday and a 40th anniversary, our group experienced it all. We watched a master craftsman paint daruma and tried it ourselves, enjoyed lunch at a wasabi farm, and dressed in kimonos near Matsumoto Castle. Despite a long drive to the snow walls, the group appreciated the brief visit. We also indulged in cherry picking and celebrated a birthday with some trying horse meat for the first time.

The schedule included stops at various supermarkets and a visit to pet koi fish, which was a hit with everyone. In Niigata, we explored rice-related activities like Senbei making, mochi pounding, and sake tasting, and enjoyed meeting Geigi at dinner. Despite heavy rain on our free day in Tokyo, we managed to teach 15 members of the group how to navigate the subway and explore Shibuya. Our final day included sushi making, visiting Asakusa, and seeing the Sky Tree.
