Ringside in Tokyo: 2025 Fall Tokyo Sumo Tournament Tour
Recapping our 2025 Fall Tokyo Sumo Tournament Tour with Tour Managers Darrell Chung and Arlene Oshima. We explored Kawagoe and Yamanashi with shoyu tastings and grape picking, relaxed in onsen hot springs, and enjoyed scenic Hakone with Lake Ashi and mountain views before settling into Tokyo.
The highlight was experiencing the September Grand Sumo Tournament live at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Watching the matches in person and enjoying a traditional chankonabe dinner made it even more memorable. We also visited Nikko, took in the city views from Tokyo Skytree, and had time to shop and enjoy local favorites around Tokyo.
