Recapping our 2025 Peru Splendors with Machu Picchu, Peruvian Amazon Rainforest & Galapagos Cruise Tour! Under the guidance of Tour Manager Kim Mc Cumsey and Globus guide Mauricio Yonfa, we explored the incredible ruins of Machu Picchu over two full days, wandered through Cusco and the Sacred Valley, and enjoyed the bold flavors of Lima. We ventured into the Amazon for canopy walks, canoe rides, and amazing wildlife sightings, then cruised the Galapagos Islands where sea lions, red footed boobies, and penguins made unforgettable appearances. It was a journey filled with history, culture, nature, and once in a lifetime moments.

We arrived in Cusco with no issues.

Our overnight stay at Sonesta Hotel Posadas del Inca Yucay.

We headed up and up to 12,000 feet to the Sacred Valley of the Incas for a wonderful lunch and Mother Earth Ceremony, performed by a local shaman.

We ascended the mountainside to the legendary Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas.”

Machu Picchu is an intact fortress with temple remains, holy houses, and a mile-long aqueduct.

After waking up early and jumping on three flights, we landed in Quito, Ecuador!

We took a city tour of Quito.

We learned about the chocolate and Quito, the "Chocolate Capital of the World."

Another early wake up for our flight to Baltra and the Galápagos Islands. We explored Santa Cruz and it's giant tortoises.

We headed to the pier and found sea lions lounging all over the place.

We had a boat tour of the area looking for wildlife before boarding the Galapagos Legend ship.

At dinner, we celebrated a birthday and TWO 51st anniversaries! How fun!

We visited Genovesa Island, known for it's large nesting colonies of Nazca and red-footed boobies.

We saw impressive an cactus forest populated with land and marine iguanas on South Plaza Island.

Time to head home to Honolulu!
