Highlights from Dubai, India & Nepal

Our 2025 Mysteries of India Tour with Collette was such a fun and eye opening journey from start to finish. We kicked things off in Dubai with dune bashing in 4x4s, an abra ride to the Gold Souk, and time exploring the city’s famous sights. Then it was off to India where we took in the energy of Delhi, rode through Old Delhi by rickshaw, and explored beautiful places like Jaipur and its palaces.

Along the way, we went looking for wildlife in Ranthambore, visited the Taj Mahal, and experienced the spiritual side of Varanasi with a cruise on the Ganges and the evening Aarti ceremony. We wrapped things up in Nepal with temple visits, mountain views, and time exploring Kathmandu and nearby towns. A great trip with lots of memories and a really fun group, led by Tour Manager Lori Lee.

We started our trip off in Dubai, UAE!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights for a couple of days.

Our first full day in Dubai was amazing!

The desert safari along with dune bashing was the ultimate thrill ride! The 4x4 vehicles with expert drivers were so much fun!

Next up was a fabulous Emirati lunch at a local restaurant in Old Town. Yummy dishes of stew, lamb & chicken biryani and more.

We also rode an Abra, a traditional boat, across the river to the Gold Souk.

A few of us went to dinner at the Dubai Mall.

At the mall, we saw the beautiful fountain show with Burj Khalifa as the backdrop.

Last day in Dubai. Here is the Frame, a showcase of Old Delhi & New Delhi.

We arrived in New Delhi, India, for a few days. The food was delicious and the people are warm and welcoming.

It was Republic Day, a national holiday, so we saw the colors green, orange and white everywhere.

Our day ended with a rickshaw ride through Old Delhi. Fun!

On day two in Jaipur, we took vintage jeeps to the Amber Fort.

We felt like Indiana Jones on an expedition lol.

Elephants roam the streets as well as cows, goats and monkeys.

We left the “Pink City” of Jaipur and made our way to Ranthambore National Park.

We were so very fortunate to have the best sightings of a beautiful Bengal tigress and so much more!

Next up was the breathtaking Taj Mahal! We could stare at it all day!

We took photos of the Taj Mahal from every angle possible lol.

All of us placed a big gold checkmark on our bucket list.

Visitors to the main mausoleum of the Taj Mahal are required to remove their shoes or wear disposable shoe covers (booties) to protect the marble floor.

We had a wonderful sunrise cruise on the Ganges River!

We felt calm gliding along the river and humbled by the rituals being performed.

The riverside sparkled.

After a two hour flight, we made it to Kathmandu and checked into the beautiful Gokarna Forest Resort! We were welcomed with a wonderful dinner.

A few of us watched the 5:15am kickoff of Super Bowl LX and cheered for our favorite team. The Gokarna Resort’s manager transformed his elegant bar into a sports bar for us!

We visited the UNESCO World heritage site, Boudhanath Stupa, the focal point are Buddhas all seeing eyes.

An epic one hour “Fly By” flight with Yeti Air! We saw Mount Everest and she is beautiful!

We even received certificates from Yeti Air.

Such a great group and we’ve all become ohana. We will miss sharing pictures, laughing together and most of all, performing our “happy dance “ lol. Now we head back to Honolulu!
