Disney, Harry Potter & Hot Springs — Summer in Tokyo with NST

What a way to spend the summer! Our 2026 Ultimate School Break Plus Warner Brothers Studios Tour packed a lot into one week — two full days at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, a trip to Hakone for the ropeway, a boat cruise on Lake Ashi, and a relaxing soak in the onsen hot springs, with a stop at Oshino Hakkai to see Mt. Fuji’s famous spring waters. Back in Tokyo, we walked through the wizarding world at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, got lost in the TeamLab Borderless Art Museum at Azabudai Hills, took in the views from the Tokyo Skytree, and wrapped up with a hands-on sushi making class. A big mahalo to Tour Manager Gabriele Finn for taking care of this group!

DisneySea was celebrating it's 25th anniversary.

We arrived in Oshino Hakkai, a set of eight ponds located in the Fuji Five Lake Region.

The eight ponds are fed by melting snow from the nearby slopes of Mt. Fuji.

We headed back to Tokyo and visited teamLab Borderless - Azabudai Hills.

teamLab Borderless - Azabudai Hills is a world-renowned, massive digital art museum.

There are no signs, maps, or designated routes. Visitors are encouraged to wander freely and discover hidden doorways.

The light projections are not static; digital animals, flowers, and streams literally march down hallways and intermingle across different rooms.

After the boat ride, we took a trip up the mountain on the Hakone Ropeway.

Owakudani Station is the highest stop, known for active volcanic vents and sulfur vapors.

Owakudani is also known for the kuro-tamago or black egg.

Everyone was excitied to visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter.

After spending some time at Warner Brothers Studios, we visited the Tokyo Skytree.

Panoramic views of Tokyo and surrounding areas. Perfect time for a snack!
