2026 Ultimate Korea Getaway: Jeju, Busan & Seoul Highlights

Our 2026 Ultimate Korea Getaway Tour started with two days in Incheon before taking us from the island beauty of Jeju to the vibrant cities of Busan and Seoul. We explored Hallim Park, Osulloc Tea Museum, Seongsan Ilchulbong, Dongmun Market, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Gamcheon Culture Village, and Myeongdong while enjoying hands on experiences like making ganjang dakgalbi, tasting Jeju craft beer, cruising the Han River, riding the KTX bullet train, and shopping at some of Korea’s favorite markets. With plenty of free time to discover each destination at our own pace, it was a fun and memorable adventure shared with Tour Managers Delbert and Gale Nakaoka.

We landed in Gimpo, Korea and took a motor coach to our first destination.

We arrived in Incheon, South Korea.

Lunch in Incheon Chinatown, the only official Chinatown in Korea, which was formed in 1884.

Next to Chinatown is Jayu Park, or Freedom Park, the first Western-style park in Korea.

We transferred from Incheon to Jeju Island to explore the area.

Our first stop on Jeju Island was Hallim Park. Here is the group at Palm Tree Road.

We explored the Hyeopjaegul and Ssangyonggul Caves.

Lots of different gardens to visit at the park.

Next up was the Osulloc Tea Museum.

The museum showcases the rich history of Korean tea within the beautiful scenery of the tea farm.

The day ended with a visit to the Jeju Beer Company, to sample the island's first local beer.

The next day, we hiked up Sungsan Rise Peak.

The peak is located on a tuff cone crater that was formed more than 5,000 years ago.

The next stop was Haenyeo Museum to learn about Jeju's female divers.

We ate some delicious fresh caught abalone soup!

We left Jeju Island for Busan and visited the Gwaneumsa Temple.

On day 9, we begun the day at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in Busan.

The temple was first built in 1376 by the great Buddhist teacher known as Naong during the Goryeo Dynasty.

After the temple, we enjoyed a yacht cruise around Busan's waters.

The rest of the day was for leisure. Some visited Haeundae Beach.

Day 10 started at Busan's Gamcheon Culture Village.

As a part of the “Village Art Project,” students, artists, and residents decorated the village, which transformed the hillside slum into a vibrant cultural hub.

The community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.

We stopped by BIFF Square, a great place to go to shop for souvenirs and have great street food.

We took a ride on the Korea Train eXpress, Korea’s high-speed rail system to to Seoul.

We ended our day with a ganjang dakgalbi (marinated chicken with soy sauce) class.

Everyone passed and received their certificates!

The next day we visited the Lotte Tower and Seoul Sky Observation Deck.

For lunch we ate a delicious bibimbap.

Our local guide Juumi loved the bibimbap along with everyone else!

We did some shopping at the Lotte World Mall and Costco, then took a leisurely cruise on the Han River.

On our second day in Seoul, we visited the Icheon Ceramics Village.

The village produces high quality, traditional Korean ceramics.

We observed the pottery production process.

Our last full day in Seoul was a leisure day. Anne and Kuulei found BTS!
