Journey through the American Southwest’s storied landscapes, where striking canyons and red-rock formations are woven with ancestral histories and enduring Indigenous traditions. Get to know Santa Fe’s historic plaza on a locally guided walking tour, and explore Bandelier National Monument, home to cliff dwellings and village ruins from Ancestral Puebloans. Visit the mesa-top Acoma Pueblo, continuously inhabited for nearly 1000 years. Within Navajo Nation, take in the painted hues of Canyon de Chelly as your Navajo guide shares stories and history. Marvel at the towering monoliths of Monument Valley and savor a traditional BBQ dinner under desert skies. Stay in Sedona and Scottsdale, two lively cities nestled within desert scenery. Activity Level:

The overall activity level of this tour is a level 3. This means you’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2–3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced 2.5 hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking 4 miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation. You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. Expect some longer days with early mornings or late nights balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travelers who require mobility assistance devices.
