Melanie “Mele” Lum

Tell us a little about yourself.

I grew up in Pearl City, born and raised on Oahu. I’m a proud mom of 5 and have the most supportive husband ever! I love traveling the world, experiencing different cultures, and eating great food!

What did you do for work before becoming a Tour Manager?

Prior to becoming a Tour Manager, I was blessed to be a stay at home mom. Prior to that, I worked for many years in the Hospitality industry.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?

During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, travel, gardening, and binging K-dramas.

Where is your favorite place to travel? What is your favorite thing to do there?

I love visiting Japan and Spain. Both places have amazing sites with incredible histories, and the food is so yummy in both countries!

What do you like most about being a Tour Manager?

I really enjoy being a Tour Manager because I get to travel the world and help create unforgettable moments. I love making new friends, and seeing the excitement when a tour member gets to turn bucket-list moments into real life. It’s always rewarding to see tour members having fun and creating lasting memories.

Is there anything else you’d like our tour members to know about you?

Travel has opened my eyes to so many new perspectives. You gain a deeper appreciation for a culture when you allow yourself to experience it firsthand.
