Lisa McKee

Tell us a little about yourself.

The oldest of 6 siblings and very grateful to have grown up in a large family in Hawaii.

What did you do for work before becoming a Tour Manager?

My degree from UH Manoa is in Travel Industry Management. I have worked for 3 airline companies as a Ticket Agent. Also, in Sales and Operations for the local telecom and insurance industry.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?

What brings me joy is traveling, snorkeling, reading about destinations and history, listening to music, trying new foods and watching the sunrise and sunsets around the world. Hanging out with my husband and the grandkids.

Where is your favorite place to travel? What is your favorite thing to do there?

My favorite destinations are New Zealand, for the scenery, the people and culture and hiking its glaciers and flying over the Southern Alps. A close second is French Polynesia for the untouched beauty (what Hawaii must have looked like 100 years ago, the good looking locals and for being able to snorkel with sharks, stingrays and fish everywhere.

What do you like most about being a Tour Manager?

The best thing about being a NST Tour Manager is meeting so many wonderful Hawaii people especially our new retirees and kupuna that have such a jest for life and love to see, do and try new things. They are an inspiration to me to keep moving and never stop traveling. Also, working with the local tour guides and drivers are always something I look forward to.

Is there anything else you’d like our tour members to know about you?

I’m a proud mom of a son who is a Firefighter and a daughter who is an Oncology Registered Nurse.
