Kim McCumsey

Tell us a little about yourself.

I grew up on the west side of Oahu and now live on the windward side. I love exploring new experiences, learning new things, and meeting people from all walks of life.

What did you do for work before becoming a Tour Manager?

I’ve spent most of my life working in law enforcement, where I developed a strong commitment to helping others. Along the way, I’ve also gained experience in the service industry and even had a fun stint dressing as Tweety Bird for Warner Brothers. Currently, I work as a crisis counselor, a role that allows me to provide support and guidance to those in need, which is incredibly rewarding.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?

My hobbies include spending quality time with my two Labradors, enjoying the company of family and friends, and finding ways to help others. Whether it’s through small acts of kindness or larger efforts, I find joy in making a positive impact.

Where is your favorite place to travel? What is your favorite thing to do there?

My favorite place to travel is Japan, but I’ve been fortunate to explore many incredible destinations, including Greece, Turkey, and Rome. Honestly, I love traveling anywhere that offers the chance to experience new cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and embrace the joy of connecting with different ways of life.

What do you like most about being a Tour Manager?

What I love most about being a tour manager is getting to explore incredible destinations while sharing those experiences with others. I enjoy guiding people through new cultures, helping them discover hidden gems, and making their journey stress-free and memorable. It’s rewarding to see travelers connect with each other, immerse themselves in new places, and leave with lifelong memories. Plus, every trip brings unique challenges and adventures, which keeps the job exciting and dynamic.

I truly believe that everyone has something to teach, and I enjoy learning through the people I meet and the experiences I try.
