Tell us a little about yourself.

Born in Busan Korea my Dad was from Cebu, Philippines he was in Busan during Korean War, married my mom. I am the eldest, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Left Korea when I was 12 years old, lived in Tan Son Nhut Air Base 3.5 years. 1968 Tet offensive in Vietnam, all dependents flew out first, lived with my Dad’s family for 3 years attended Philippine Women’s University while my Dad got transfer to Hawaii after Vietnam. Joined my Dad in Honolulu, HI 8/16/72.

What did you do for work before becoming a Tour Manager?

Worked for Hawaiian Telephone Company 1977, retired from my last position as Equipment Installer on 6/20/2014, 37 years of service.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?

Spending time with my 3 fur kids (English Bulldogs) My morning walks in Mililani when I am not on my tour. Enjoy Cooking for my family. Having lunch with my HTCO retiree friends once a month to stay in touch. Just enjoying retirement taking tours for Non-Stop Travel.

Where is your favorite place to travel? What is your favorite thing to do there?

Seoul Korea get to eat all favorite food. I get to spend time with my 2 brothers and their families at the hotel or evenings if I have a free day on the tour.

What do you like most about being a Tour Manager?

Enjoy traveling and exploring new countries, especially when I see my tour members getting excited and enjoying the tour. A great feeling that I did my best to make their tour a great experience. Meeting new people and establishing Friendship, we sometimes meet for lunch or do potlucks. But there are few, no matter what you do, you can’t please them at all.

Is there anything else you’d like our tour members to know about you?

Passionate and fully committed to do my best as a Tour Manager. Korea is my Birth country, I am not an expert but I have enough knowledge of the places, culture, food and omiyage to bring back. Not fluent in language but able to understand and speak a little.
