We finally made it to Budapest!
We had the afternoon free after checking in to the hotel. Most of us explored the area near the hotel, which is gorgeous! Here is the view from the hotel.
The front of our hotel, the Intercontinental.
Our dinner on night 1! Food from the vendors in a large outdoor courtyard.
So much delicious food! We had to share.
The ladies did a great job.
Despite being stuffed, we had to try the chimney cakes with ice cream. Chimney cakes are crusty on the outside and soft doughy inside.

Monday was our first full day in Budapest. We started the morning with a tour of the city. First up was Hero’s Square.
Of course, sampling more chimney cakes! So yummy!
We later went up to the Buda Castle District.
