Delbert & Gale Nakaoka

Tell us a little about yourself.

Delbert grew up in Kapahulu, Gale grew up in Palolo, and we both graduated from Kaimuki High School. Moved to Pearl City over 40 years ago.

What did you do for work before becoming a Tour Manager?

Delbert: Worked as a truck driver for Meadow Gold Dairies.

Gale: Worked as the Manpower Manager for the Pacific Submarine Force.

What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?

Other than our love for travel, we enjoy walking daily and talking to people we meet on walks.

Where is your favorite place to travel? What is your favorite thing to do there?

We always enjoy returning to Japan but also love exploring new destinations. The many natural wonders of the world are amazing to see and learn about.

What do you like most about being a Tour Manager?

Besides the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world, we love meeting so many fun people on the tours. We’re happy when travelers really enjoy the tour!

Is there anything else you’d like our tour members to know about you?

We are fortunate to have 4 grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them.
